Fay School Library Rules

 

The Fay School Library offers an academic environment dedicated to research, reading and reflection. The library staff is happy to assist you. Please ask!

 

 

1.     All materials must be checked out of the library at the circulation desk.

 

2.     The library will maintain an atmosphere conducive to reading, research and reflection.

 

3.     Students are responsible for picking up after themselves. At the end of each period, students should pick up scrap paper, push chairs under tables and return books to the circulation desk.

 

4.     Reserve Books

§        Books and other materials are placed on reserve so that all members of a class may have equal access to assigned material.

§        Reserve books are gathered on book carts and labeled by class project. Reserve books must be used in the library only.

 

5.     Computer Use

§        Students must abide by the Fay School Acceptable Use Policy.

§        Library computers and student laptop computers are to be used for school-related work only. (Yes, always!)

 

6.     Eating, drinking (except bottled water), and chewing gum are not permitted in the library.
